Thank You Clock continues exploration of melting HDPE plastic bags that started with Thank You in 2018. Although New York City has banned giving out plastic bags in October 2020, bags were still accumulating in the studio. In addition, since 2019 the studio has been making Transition Mirrors which require distilled water. The plastic jugs the distilled water comes in are recyclable in the municipal recycling stream but often plastics are processed but at the end, without a buyer, it is still landfilled. Continuing the studio's drive to create a closed loop manufacturing system, these jugs are now cut up and melted with plastic bags to create these clocks.
