Design Year: 2016
Dimensions: Homasote, brass, steel
Materials: Studio Produced

Homasote collection was an experimental series commissioned by kinderModern in 2016 along with the Fiberglass collection as a take on Modernist furniture designed for children. Some adult sized versions were produced.

The pieces are made from laminated layers of Homasote, a soft, compressed recycled paper product, and connected using brass hardware. Along with completely new designs, a few pieces were a play on Modernist classics like the Zig Zag chair and the Noguchi coffee table.

The rounded profiles were cut using a CNC machine and slotted onto steel support bars which are capped with large brass washers which help to compress the profiles together.
