Design
The form of the 3 legged bowl was inspired by the Chinese Ding as well as the Bol-sein by Sevres.
The factory producing the Leg Bowl was first used to produce the [Stacking Planter], the design of which was specifically tailored for the process of slip casting. However after visiting the factory, it was revealed that this particular factory specialized in the production of nativity figurines. The decision was made to design for the strengths of the factory and shift from geometric forms to figurative forms.
